This policy explains how knolecar.com uses cookies and similar technologies such as your browser’s local storage. The short version: we store what the website needs to work, and — only if you click “Accept” — Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the website is used. We do not use advertising cookies.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way but the information stays on your device and is not sent to a server automatically. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites must ask for your consent before using them — unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
2. What we store on your device
We do not set any cookies ourselves. We store the following items in your browser’s local storage. All of them are strictly necessary for features you use, so they do not require consent:

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you click Accept on our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets the cookies below. They tell us, for example, how many people visit, which website or search brought them here, which pages they look at and at which step they leave the booking process. Google also gives us aggregated, anonymous audience reports (such as age range, interests, country and device). We never send your name, e-mail, phone number or addresses to Google Analytics. If you click Reject, these cookies are not set; Google may still receive cookieless, anonymous signals (for example that a page was viewed) which cannot be used to identify you.

3. Third-party services
Some features load content from other providers. When they do, your browser connects to them and they receive your IP address and basic browser information:

4. Your choices
You can delete local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings (usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”). If you do, the website will forget your currency choice; if you clear storage while paying, we may not be able to show your confirmation screen, but your booking and confirmation e-mail are not affected.
You can change your mind about analytics cookies at any time: open cookie settings (also linked as “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page of our website). If you withdraw consent we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
